1282489 2012-06-25 02:16:00 And we're back.

did some digging and found this on the laptop
www.imagef1.net.nz

the IP address is way off, the subnet mask is missing a .255 after the first 2, and it shows it is trying to authenticate with our wireless network

maybe this will help figure out whats wrong????

1282490 2012-06-25 02:30:00 Set up a manual IP. I'm beginning to think your router wants throwing out the window and replacing. Iantech (16386)
1282491 2012-06-25 03:11:00 that extreme a solution when two laptops, two ipod touches and two cellphones connect fine??( the replacing part) GameJunkie (72)
1282492 2012-06-25 05:34:00 Yeah set it a manual IP Address on the laptop and go from there? Chilling_Silence (9)
1282493 2012-06-25 07:54:00 k, will try that GameJunkie (72)
1282494 2012-06-26 00:19:00 set a manual IP address and everything, but no luck.

still get the 'trying to authenticate' message

1282495 2012-06-26 01:34:00 what were your IP settings that you used? Iantech (16386)
1282496 2012-06-26 02:20:00 New IP:192.168.1.20
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.000
Gateway: 192.168.1.1
and the DNS servers in the router status page
GameJunkie (72)
1282497 2012-06-26 04:40:00 Subnet mask only should have one zero.

Tell you what, what happens if you grab a Live Linux CD and boot that on the laptop, and try it? That'll rule out anything hardware related and prove it's something 100% specific to that device, IN windows....
