I remember starting a thread years ago about the camera battery life and it was the late Godfather that put me onto (Sanyo) eneloop. Still using the originals I bought back then but they have been charged once or twice.;)

.

Are these they (www.dicksmith.co.nz)BM?

Can recommend as I got both batteries and charger(slow charge) ,have the Canon AS-590is as well after owning a A75

Tried using the NIMH's that was running in the A75 but no go

1281325 2012-06-13 22:26:00 Now here's a dilemma with the Canon sx150

DSE $299 inc Delivery

Bond and Bond $275 inc delivery and it comes with an 8GB memory card - it also says that the batteries come with a charger see here (www.bondandbond.co.nz) whereas DSE doesn't say anything about a charger

So, the question is "Do I trust a toaster shop?"

1281326 2012-06-13 22:29:00 Always try these www.dealextreme.com

Got some AAA's but have not had them long enough to form an opinion ,though they get good reviews and are cheaper

1281327 2012-06-13 22:31:00 Maybe outside your budget but the Canon S90 is good. Someone I know, printed a A1 print off this point and shoot camera and it was at sunset time when the light was dark. It's hanged up at his dental practice's waiting area.

Finally managed to track down a reference to the Canon S90. It looks like it's been and gone - see here. (pricespy.co.nz) Plus it's way outside of my price range, bit thanks Nomad

Thanks for that Lawrence. I don't know what happened to my link. I checked it before I posted but it's obviously not going to the right place.

1281329 2012-06-13 22:49:00 Yep - I'd been wondering about a view finder.

For a $300 camera, there won't be many with viewfinders, and the ones that do will have small, low res, electronic ones that don't show the whole photo. A nice bright screen would be better.

My A400 has an optical viewfinder.
