| 1258411 | 2012-02-11 03:21:00 | Valentines day has some traumatic memories for me now. Suddenly found myself caught on her emotional tightrope... not a happy place. She was drop dead gorgeous. Intelligent. Sweet. And more volatile than old dynamite. |

Not in the history of the day, but the Americans have made it the crappy, sentimental, commercial day that it is. I did read it. Like I said, most christian days were pinched from pagan days. And who cares NOW? Even Xmas for most people is an excuse for eating drinking presents and holidays. Not many people care about whatever religious thing they used to be. Crappy, commercial day? Depends how you look at it or treat it I guess. Doing something nice for you loved one that day can eliminate the commercialness. Perhaps you'd prefer we did whatever they did when it was about the martyr, celebrate burning some religious person at the stake maybe? |

| 1258415 | 2012-02-11 03:48:00 | Valentine's day is a day to be exploited. A guy walks into a post office one day to see a middle-aged, balding man standing at the counter methodically placing "Love" stamps on bright pink envelopes with hearts all over them. He then takes out a perfume bottle and starts spraying scent all over them. His curiosity getting the better of him, he goes up to the balding man and asks him what he is doing. The man says, "I'm sending out one thousand Valentine cards signed, 'Guess who?'" "But why?" asks the man. "I'm a divorce lawyer," the man replies. |
