1259246 2012-02-15 21:40:00 "the Serious Organised Crime Agency is threatening users of RnBXclusive that they face 10 years in prison if they downloaded music through the site."

so its a more serious crime than car theft, purse snatching, breaking & entering, bashing...

Its about time govts realize its not that serious a crime, and perhaps try to catch some REAL crims.
That would be 50% of the population facing jail time. Who can honestly say they have never broken copyright etc, even in some small way . Perhaps the next step is to threaten everyone using a photocopier in Libraries.

Even legit sites are being shut down , only to be handed back a year later.
"Persistent reports suggested that the songs had been legally provided to the site by record labels for the specific purposes of distribution to fans, a point later raised by Senator Ron Wyden. One ‘leak’ even came from a boss at a major music label."

1259248 2012-02-15 22:57:00 Why do I get the feeling that the FBI etc seem to hate pirates more than paedophiles, rapists, etc... ?

Surely catching those kind of scumbags should take a much higher priority!

Oh wait, the MAFIAA don't give a **** about people getting raped, they just want to squeeze out an extra couple of million dollars from their "customers"!

Hmm. Let's see now. Individuals being bashed, raped, stolen from (in a minor way), and so on versus large bloated corporates potentially losing money........

No contest is there, large bloated corporations are far more important...
