1472569 2020-10-28 02:57:00 Frequently it seems.

I am waiting on a plumber to quote redoing our shower cubicle because the one who originally did the bathroom didn't remove the plastic film from the tray beforessembly, and now it's leaking. Like a sieve actually.

Original plumber won't even respond (I'm a moaner he said the first time) so that will be a Disputes case. Of course actually getting the money will be another thing...........

And husband sharpened the blade on the mower. After I commented what did you do, it mows badly (grass out the side) and it would scrape the concrete - where it never did before.
Did you put blade on upside down I asked?
Not possible he said.

After the 3rd mow I lost patience and took it in.

It trashed the main blade, blunted the other (it has mulch, mow and chip) and damaged the crankshaft - because the blade was on upside down.
It's better now, all good but geez.......not happy with what that cost me!

He had a leak. Being the 3rd leak in that area, the particle board floor is now stuffed. It will need replacement, it goes under a dividing wall too, and affects the HWC cupboard. he is not happy.........

1472572 2020-10-29 08:54:00 good luck with plumbing. leakages can cause huge damage (cost and floor safety). We got caught with improper shower tray setup.
We also last year had to get a new hot water cylinder-also leaking though floor. I saw plumber with a tray -I thought great- He explained it only came into legislation mid 2018 which surprised me since it seems like such common sense.

1472573 2020-10-29 18:37:00 .We got caught with improper shower tray setup.
.

What happened? Did they fix it or did you have to have someone else do so?
What was involved, was the old materials used?

1472574 2020-10-29 21:03:00 The original installation was many years ago -no idea what happened to original installers.. No in bathroom obvious signs but downstairs in garage got signs of particle board deterioration and then leakage.

When we use these "experts" one expects them to ensure that such faults are prevented (yes I'm fantasizing)

1472575 2020-10-30 00:30:00 Did they reuse the old parts and materials or have to start over? piroska (17583)
1472576 2020-10-30 22:53:00 So new plumber has been.
Interestingly, his brother was the one sub-contracted to put the actual tray in.
That was fine.
The builder should have removed the film.
Secondly, the shower enclosure is not done right, never mind tray part.

New plumber will pull it apart, sort it, can reuse the existing stuff, and reassemble it. Roughly $450.

He will also do me a report.

He said Chad Still owes money to Micos, he owes heaps of people round here. He now calls him self Ur Plumber.
This guy, along with his brother, are called Your Plumber. He said Chad took the Yo off, and stole their business name so they are going to try and do something about that too.

He said Chad finished his apprenticeship, became a tutor at the polytech here, got fired for being useless, worked for Turfys (where this guy and his brother also worked) got fired again, again for being useless and started his business, and did my job along with screwing up loads of others.
Now repeating it in the Waikato.

I will take him to Disputes, chances of getting money are slim, but I will do it anyway.
