1466043	2020-01-17 02:37:00	hello I want to set up a website with a forum. As I no longer trust nz websites due to government interference etc I wish to have it hosted overseas. Can anyone recommend a good webhost ( i have a New Zealand one already) I also want to register the name overseas.	Digby (677)

Yes it's highly inconvenient when 80 people look at your post and do not reply because they have no advice to offer...how dare they!!! I mean surely if they are viewing your post they must have something to say... oh wait can't respond to a post unless you view it first...assuming you actually have something to offer the OP. The members of this site don't sit in front of their screens waiting for the next new thread to pop up... most of us have a life outside PF1. I appreciate that you were expecting help but there's no need to be sarcastic when you don't get the response you want... especially when the query you had could be easily googled, bing'd or ducduckgo'd. Maybe you would have received a better response if you posted options you have researched and then asked for advice on which of those would suit your purpose rather than just posting a cryptic "does anyone know where I can find...." query. I would also venture to say that seen as you're worried about "government interference" most people would probably shy away from that kind of topic without knowing exactly what your "forum" is all about... for all we know you could be setting up a forum for some nefarious activity and by association of a reply to your post other members could be tangled up in whatever it is you were doing... I'm sure you can appreciate that position given you are concerned about government interference. Have a nice day.	chiefnz (545)

1466047	2020-01-18 04:42:00	Well we had a good one a few years back courtesy of Ian & Dan as I recall? Unfortunately, few used it so they pulled the pin. I offered to help financially, if that was the problem, but got no reply so I guess their minds were made up. As I recall they were going to keep the site, so if anyone knows where they are it could be worth talking with them?	B.M. (505)
