A number of European countries have had that sort of thing for ages, they don't have an increase in drug users nor other dire events. |

Im not saying keeping everything illegal is the best choice, but lets not single out cannabis for special treatment . I know what will happen if you make it easier to get . NZ has a long history of drug abuse (boooze) We cant compare NZ to other countries , we just arnt the same . |

Erm - we have already had a needle exchange programme for more than 30 years! (In fact, I think NZ was the first in the world) "The needle exchange programme consists of 20 dedicated exchanges, 1 mobile exchange, and 197 pharmacies and alternative outlets. We now distribute over 3 million needles and syringes each year through a national network of dedicated outlets stretching from Kaitaia to Invercargill and a comprehensive network of pharmacies. There are five trusts responsible for the operational delivery of services in their respective regions and a national trust that provides leadership and national co-ordination for the programme as a whole." www.nznep.org.nz |
