2020-10-02 07:39:00 | And looking into power prices. Gee, removing the prompt payment discount surprisingly increased bills with the companies that have axed it. | Beav (17610) | |
2020-10-02 18:13:00 | And take a look at the petrol prices HERE (petrolspy.com.au) | B.M. (505) | |
2020-10-02 19:18:00 | Yep. It's hardly news that we pay more here for things. The govt saying we'll look into it...why? Vote gathering - for the stupid. Because they did a report on petrol...and? They can't dictate what companies price things at. Petrol stations or supermarkets. More money wasting.

2020-10-02 20:52:00 | Virtually everything in NZ is a rip-off because "competition" doesn't work in NZ, it's too small, "competitors" know exactly what each other are doing and how each other are pricing the goods and work with one another to keep prices as high as possible for maximum profits, I mean just look at Real Estate, what a joke. We need price controls if the businesses concerned cannot act in a way that's best for all.

2020-10-03 00:29:00 | Voted this morning. What a hassle this time. Sign in, sanitise, get your disposable pen....stand in the covid line. No wonder it's taking weeks this time. The guy at desk said it's costing them heaps too. Oh well, done and over with.

2020-10-03 04:23:00 | Voted this morning. What a hassle this time. Sign in, sanitise, get your disposable pen....stand in the covid line. No wonder it's taking weeks this time. The guy at desk said it's costing them heaps too. Oh well, done and over with. Thanks for the Heads-Up piroska. I didn't realise that voting started today, such has been my interest. Anyway, I had a heap of unopened letters from the Electoral Commission so thought I better take an intelligent interest. First letter opened I get THIS: 10536 So, off to the landfill went the rest of their Mail. No point in me trying to read it. Wife confirms that you can't vote on line either???????? Looks like the lunatics have the keys to the Asylum again.

2020-10-03 07:19:00 | Wife confirms that you can't vote on line either???????? : No. You get a cardboard card. But you can vote without it....Take your EasyVote card with you when you vote. If you haven’t got a card or forget it, you can still vote. You don't need to bring ID. To help make voting safer, you can bring your own pen to mark your voting papers. If you forget, don’t worry — there will be pens available. Info here: vote.nz You can keep the pen. They said dump in container after signing in (covid signing) if you don't want it so I did and then had to retrieve it for actual voting.... Ooops.

2020-10-04 19:47:00 | You think? LOok at their ideas on drugs: www.greens.org.nz Cannabis should be legal for personal use There should be an age limit for possession and cultivation for personal use. A regulated market should be designed Cannabis smoking should be prohibited everywhere that tobacco smoking is prohibited. Medicinal cannabis should be available Alcohol should be legal, regulated, and taxed 18 should remain the legal age for the purchase of alcohol. This should be strongly enforced. All alcohol advertising and sponsorship should be phased out. Alcohol taxes should reflect the alcoholic strength of a drink, and be progressively raised to cover the social costs of alcohol use. The Green Party supports the Smokefree Aotearoa goal Tobacco should not be prohibited, but we support plain packaging, tax increases, extension of the Smokefree Environments legislation, and restrictions on sale of tobacco. Non-tobacco based nicotine products, such as e-cigarettes, should be assessed according to harm-reduction principles. Doesn't seem looney to me.
