"Our collective consumer choices are responsible for what is produced in the world"
The issue is us. its not the govt, its not big industry, its not coal mining , its us. And we wont change .
easier to point the finger then do nothing ourselves

will we stop eating meat (methane ) : nope wont happen
will we stop driving big cars : nope wont happen
will we stop our airplane travel : nope wont happen (excluding covid )
will we stop buying Chinese goods made using coal power stations : nope wont happen

heres an entertaining vid (comedy), with a NASA Climate scientist (dressed as Elvis) :
warning, its not safe for children :)
www.youtube.com

Interestingly, he said most of the warming is in the oceans , not the air. And he mentioned the best way to make a change is to vote (USA vid).
He didnt start ranting that the earth is going to end & didnt start ranting its the end of times .

and none of that would matter if there were considerably less of us. How about a peasant meat eating, car driving, plane travelling, cheap clothes, household items life instead of billions of us crammed into **** boxes eating soylent green and pretending we're doing great.

Excellent link Rumpty.

I was chuckling my way through it and then got to the Greenhouse Gas Emissions and lost it.

Fancy Crayfish and Crabs being the main offenders.

Before my eyes flashed the scenario of a room full stoned students, (all owing the taxpayer $100k in Student Loans) with a half cut lecturer advising them that “Today we are going to check the flatulence of a Crayfish and a Crab”.

The mind boggles as to how such precise measurements were taken.

Then, instead of exterminating them and Saving the Planet, (I’m available to help) they protect them.

There is certainly material here for another Monty Python episode.

No, it's not, although I posted that some time ago I do not remember where I obtained that information. I should have said where I obtained it from. Sorry about that, chief.
