| 1465591 | 2019-12-21 20:56:00 | Security? Ah yes, the old updates make you safe on the net theory. . Its NOT Theory its FACT. If you have a gmail account and try to use Outlook earlier than 2016 gmail wont work unless you go into the gmail settings and basically turn off the gmail security. It's not the problem with outlook its the provider. Seen it happen to quite a few with xtra emails as well, some older programs are considered to insecure. Telling people to use a different program to solve an issue isn't a solution. It is when the old program is no longer accepted by the email provider. Other wise please explain HOW you lower the security on xtra's (for example) servers ?? |

| 1465592 | 2019-12-29 08:56:00 | Personal y I wouldn't use thunderbird these days unless someone paid me to. Its got WAY to many problems, had MANY customers who used thunderbird and gmail plays up AGAIN when google muck about with the security settings. For free email - What I have been using is EMclient, https://www.emclient.com/ Its simple in design but has all the settings if anything needs to be altered. :-) I got rid of Tbird on my home PC, its never fixed bugs were starting to P me off Im using EMClient now, but I really dont trust it. Just why it needs to phone home with telemetry ...... , and when I open it it can take many clicks before the first message can be opened (OK after that) . I might go back to Pegasus :-) |
