23214 2001-10-31 06:11:00 I recently recived an email attachment that I could not read. A screen came up telling me the machine could not find acroread.exe and asking for the path to it.

I had recently downloaded Adobe Acrobat Reader 5 ( the PC World disk) and would have thought that it woulld be in there.

But not to be. I can't find such a file anywhere.

Suggestions?

The path your looking for is >
C:\Program files\adobe\acrobat5\reader\AcroRD32

Just double click the AcroRD32 to start the programme.

If it is not there you can't have installed Acrobat correctly and will need to reinstall it off the CD again.

For Adobe Acrobat v3 or earlier the execute file is'Acroread.exe' For Adobe Acrobat v4 or 5 the execute file is 'AcroRd32.exe'.
Following sequence cures problem giving
