23269 2001-11-01 05:05:00 It's like trying to play a Beta video tape in a VHS player. The Beta might be better, but it won't work.
The Macintosh programmes are designed to run on the Mac. Your best bet is to look out for a secondhand Mac, one that is reasonably modern .. .and ask the vendor to check that your programmes will run. The school should be able to advise a suitable model: they might even sell you one if they are upgrading.

23271 2001-11-01 12:04:00 Find out when the council's inorganic rubbish collection is being held near your area and have a look around. People chuck out older Macs like they were yesterday's newspaper. I have seen hundreds, in fact I have one here somewhere that came off the kerb. Nine times out of ten they go and have all the bits and pieces with them. Guest (0)
