| 23158 | 2001-10-30 23:36:00 | Just upgraded from Win98 to W2K and there's all this rubbish in my system tray.. I used to go into msconfig and uncheck what I don't want, but under W2K msconfig doesn't appear to work. Any ideas where I can go to wrestle control of my sys tray back again? | Guest (0) | ||

To get around this, open regedit, and try the following registry keys for the run data (delete the entries you don't want, and don't do anything you're not completely 100% totally sure of) HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Run HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Run There are utilities around to do this, but to be honest it's just as easy to do it this way.
