| 23381 | 2001-11-02 03:12:00 | I have a Joystick for Flight Sims that works from Game Port or USB. Can't get it to go on USB. Found it in Device Manager to be told that it is disabled because the BIOS isn't giving it an IRQ.Code 29 mentioned and to enable it in BIOS. Went into BIOS, PCI Plug and Play Set-up, but commands seem OK. Plug and Play aware O/S - Yes. PCI VGA Pallette snoop - disabled. Allocate IRQ to PCI VGA - No. DMA channels 0 to 7 shown as PNp and IRQ 3 / 15 PCI - PNP. Am I in the right area - using a Pent.2, 300 Mhz with Win 98. | Guest (0) | ||

I think that you want the joystick to plug into your serial port, if you do then you need to make sure you have COM1 or COM2 working, or both. Check in device manager that they are there, they maybe what you want to enable in your bios. |

If there is an option to assign an IRQ to USB turn it on, and anything else relating to it. Also assigning an IRQ to VGA is usually needed for most cards to work correctly. |
