23348 2001-11-01 11:57:00 Might seem like a silly question, but I want to know how to completely remove all traces of a program from my computer. I installed Netscape, but I'm not all that keen on it and want it completely removed. Can I just do this on settings> control> add/remove programs - or what else do I need to do.

Many thanks, ALAN

23349 2001-11-01 19:14:00 Hello Alan,

The steps I normally take are 1 / remove the programme using add and remove.
2 / reboot your PC.
3 / go to Windows explorer and look for any folders associated with the removed programme, if found delete them (make sure they are not being shared with anything else first)
4 / run Easycleaner to remove any traces in the registry.
If you don't have Easycleaner just do a search via Google to find a Download page, It's freeware.
5 / All done.
