23643 2001-11-05 01:01:00 I have a Biostar M6TBA mobo with an Intel 440BX chipset.
I'm running ME and I'm trying to find which drivers (lastest) I should have for the Bios and the chipset. I have checked all the relevent sites but am left in a daze as to what I need to download and how to insatll it.
I'm pretty sure I have a via 4in1 driver installed at present due to the wrong advice so any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks

23645 2001-11-05 01:23:00 I've got exactly the same board.

The BIOS update is here:
www.biostar.com.tw

The only significant thing it adds is a 'Press F9 to select Boot device', which is useful to boot CDs/floppys.

So I wouldn't bother unless your current BIOS is causing a problem.

The chipset drivers are here:
www.biostar.com.tw

Grap the intel ones. It covers all recent intel chipsets.

Or you could try the generic ones from intel (their newer, although I think no updates were added for the BX chipset):

23646 2001-11-05 02:54:00 thanks very much for the info. I checked out the site for the chipset drivers but there seems to be no mention of M6TBA mobo?
If I download a chipset driver is it a straight forward installation?
Also I will leave the BIOS alone as I don't seem to have any problems, my current bios version is v4.51PG. Is it a good version do u think?
Thanks
