| 23607 | 2001-11-04 08:52:00 | I have three computers at home, the kids two are networked, RJ45 crossover cable, with ICS to share the internet. One of those is W2k the other W98. No problems. My computer W2k can't get on the bloody internet to check press F1, because the line is always tied up. I know I should buy a hub, and network all three, and solve the problem, but I've got spare network cards lying around, and I like to experiment! My plan is to put two network cards in the kids W2k computer, and network mine to it, with another cross over cable, so that I can share the Internet as well. Has anyone ever tried this, or is there a fundemental problem with the whole idea? |

I can possibly see difficulties..But hey its work a crack purely from the Knowledge you will gain.. But i do reckon you should get a wee hub the old 10meg ones are cheap enough these days and the do make things more organised....Let us know how you get on.. ==Orac== |
