I heard there is a way to join to graphics cards for better perfomance. Freind of mine had a cable out of one graphics card straight into the other, but im not sure if he was having me on? Im not talking about twin monitors here.

You have to have two identicle (ie p c i as you do not generally have two agp slots) video cards (they had to suport it) it was called S L I and you did it with vodoo I and II 3d cards (as well as others ati rage etc. but vodoo did it best), one card did horizontal lines and the second card did the verticle lines and it did give you 200% faster video, (at the time an 8MB 3d Vodoo card was $450 each so only the real game players had those. 23602 2001-11-04 10:35:00 add to wayne- in the early days(depending on what u call early ;-) )they had 2d only cards and 3d only cards. so to do 3d graphics ie play games you had to use 2 video cards linked together. Guest (0)
23603 2001-11-05 07:14:00 Or he may have a video accelerator card..These add in cards had 3dfx chips etc on them and plugged into you old pci cards giving you all the accelerated stuff without the expense of a whole new card...But they are old technology by todays standard.
