| 23574 | 2001-11-04 04:04:00 | After doing a reinstall using the recovery disk, I now have .dbx files in 3 different folders. One lot is in my current Outlook Express, and the others are in a backup folder that my recovery disk made. How do I get my family photos from my backup .dbx files into my current .dbx files to access them? Thanks. | Guest (0) | ||
| 23575 | 2001-11-04 04:51:00 | Hello Graeme, To restore yor backed up .dbx files,fire up OE go to file,import,messages,choose what version of OE or mail you was using before then choose restore from stored directory and just simply navigate to your backup folders stored .dbx files and import back. It would have been easier to give you the exact method if you had said what version of OE you are \ was using. Regards Alan |

| 23576 | 2001-11-04 09:22:00 | Thanks Alan but... When I try that I get a message 'No messages can be found in this folder or another application is running that has the required files open. Please select another folder or try closing applications that may have files open.' All I have open is OE6, and I know the folders aren't empty. I was also using OE6 when the backup was made. Any more suggests? |
