| 23626 | 2001-11-04 23:40:00 | hi, i'm working in an office with 2 networked pcs - 1 with win 2000 & 1 with win 98. win 2000 is set to share internet connnection - was going then stopped, maybe after installing norton av 2002, but uninstalled it. still no internet on win 98 - any ideas where to look to fix this problem? all help very much appreciated. | Guest (0) | ||
| 23627 | 2001-11-05 07:07:00 | Hi Deborah Couple of thoughts.Check to see if the win2k has the IP address of 192.168.0.1 and that the win98 box is set to 'otain IP address automatically' both these are under the properties section of network neighbourhood. Secondly make sure the Win2k machine is running before you switch on the win98 box..Otherwise it will not recieve an address and hence not work. Good luck ==Orac== |
