| 23759 | 2001-11-07 07:25:00 | A partial answer to your queries: Lock c: is the command from the DOS prompt to allow direct disk access rather than going through the virtual file allocation table. Unlock c: is the command to prevent direct access ie. it puts disk access back through vfat. There are a number of DOS utilities to back up CMOS and Boot Sector information, and they are best run from DOS rather than a DOS window. There are two utilities by Roedy Green that are useful, cmossave, and bootsave. You can get these from the Garbo file archives site at: garbo.uwasa.fi Bootsave is in the bootutil directory as bootsv18.zip, and cmossave is in the sysutil directory as cmossv29.zip Now my question; what is DBR, and what is an 'interrup format', something to do with interupts 25 and 26? Cheers |
