23687 2001-11-05 21:20:00 I have no idea Jacques, but perhaps if you put up some more detail about your computer system, programs you were using, what made the messages appear, where you see the messages, is the computer otherwise working ok etc it might help somebody who does know to recognise the problem and post some advice.

Cheers

23689 2001-11-05 23:38:00 They're 'findfast' files - part of Office (97?) to make file searching faster. You can delete them - they'll reappear unless findfast is disabled. Guest (0)
23690 2001-11-06 05:45:00 Delete them, and get rid of findfast. It sucks, makes your PC crash, and nobody ever uses it.

23691 2001-11-06 10:45:00 They are in all drives.

23692 2001-11-06 20:21:00 Start, Settings, Taskbar. Click tab for start menu programs and choose remove, find it in the startup group.

Resistance is futile, but sometimes it makes you feel good.

23694 2007-03-29 04:47:00 I wouldn't worry about them, unless they are causing a problem.

Which is probably why you are here
