| 23665 | 2001-11-05 09:49:00 | Running Win2000Pro with 2HDD's, both partitioned. My problem is that the smallest partition (5Gb) keeps becoming unformatted. Have reformatted it, filled it up with files, then it happens again. Have AVP Pro and Trojan Remover operating, so cannot see it being vius or trojan related. Any suggestions? |

| 23666 | 2001-11-05 20:57:00 | Nasty! I am not sure what I would suggest. Have you done thorough surface scans etc? Sounds like the information about the partition is being lost (Duh). No idea why. I have never heard of this happening before. Good luck. Robo. |

| 23667 | 2001-11-06 23:33:00 | Just a thought: you are shutting down properly, not just switching off? (This would tend to randomly zap any of the partitions, but maybe). Try using that partition for the swapfile, and see if it stays intact like that. That would save the time filling with 5GB repeatedly, while sorting it out. This is one of the nasties: the answer will be bleeding obvious -- in retrospect. |
