| 23806 | 2001-11-06 22:07:00 | Hi, I am trying to use an old Sony graphics workstation monitor on my PC under Win95/98/ME. Since the monitor is fixed-freq and all the generic drivers are multi-sync, I can't use them. Sony does not support this monitor and has never written a driver for it. Does anyone know of a utility to custom-write a monitor driver? I remember seeing one years ago that would allow you to manually enter the specs and it would write it to the registry so you could choose it. The specs of this monitor are: Resolution: 1280 X 1024 Horiz. Freq: 77.1728 KHz Vert. Freq: 72.5562 Hz (no range! You can see why I need a custom driver!) Thanks! Greg |

I see just a setting for maximum resolution (or perhaps to instead have it listed as a fixed freq rather than a max and min). This should get me going, however it would still be nice to have a utility to change every setting or at least a description of how to build my own INF from scratch. Thanks! Greg |
