| 23934 | 2001-11-08 07:40:00 | Motherboard Brand :jetway MODEL NUBER:v910AF BIOS Version:A02 BIOS Date:07-20-1999 CPU Brand:INTEL CPU Speed:CELERON 400 Voltage:1.58 V.G.A Card:Built-in I/O Chipset:Windows 98 Dram Size:128 Dram Brand:Apacer HDD Size & Brand:Quantum FireBall 40GB Other Devices:None Problem Description:Problem: Recording function of Motherboard failed to work I need to use the recording function, but I found this function could not work, so I simplified the problem as following: Firstly,I installed Windows 98 using typical option (no other software programme). Then I installed the sound driver(using CD for Drivers PACK provided with the motherboard)according to the user's manual. a. Before installing Sound Driver, I remove PCI Multimedia Audio Device under 'OTHER DEVICE' of 'DEVICE MANAGER'. b. Then Run:\INTEL810\SOUND\WIN98\SETUP.EXE c. Then install AUDIO PACK, run:\INTEL810\SOUND\ADRACK\SETUP.EXE But when I open Start->Programs->Accessories->Entertainment->Sound Recorder and press the recording button, there appears a mistake message: Your audio hardware cannot record into files like the current file. To record, create a new documment. Therefore, I can't use the recording function of motherboard. I can play CD and *.wav file. There is no other problem besides recording function. Would you please tell me what's wrong with my installation of sound driver? Is it possible because there are something wrong with the driver or other reasons? How to solve this problem? |

| 23936 | 2001-11-08 08:59:00 | OK. I've been into 98 and had a look at the help file in sound recorder. If you have the microphone pluged into your soundcard, you should go file/new in sound recorder, then start recording. That will make a new wave file. |
