23874 2001-11-07 21:17:00 I have just upgraded to Win2k and cannot now get my dual monitors working.
I have a PCChips M/Bd with an onboard SIS620 AGP video adaptor, and an S3 Trio 62V2/Dx PCI card (4Mb). This worked fine under Win98 - and for my programming work I found dual monitors excellent.
With Win2k, I can get either monitor working OK( depending on the BIOS Primary video card setting) - but am unable to activate both together, despite loading the latest drivers available (using NT4 drivers as no Win2k avail).

Any suggestions/help appreciated.

TIA
Geoff

23875 2001-11-08 03:14:00 Hi Geoff,

you have may have answered your own question. NT4 never had dual monitor support, so I guess the drivers you are using have no support either. I'm very surprised that such bog standard video adapters have no native W2K driver support. How do they look in the device manager? Do you have any multi monitor options in the display properties?

23876 2001-11-09 02:11:00 Yes, I tried the std Win2k drivers first up ...
It doesn't get to the display properties stage .. the second video adapter has a yellow ! in the system properties list - knows it has a problem here ..
Someone wondered it both adapters must be the same (ie AGP OR PCI), but I haven't found any documentation to confirm that - or to confirm that what I am trying should not work. Even Win95 recognises the 2nd video adapter - and it doesn't support multiple monitors !!
