| 23912 | 2001-11-08 03:29:00 | does ayone know of a free dvd player . i used freedvd from the pcworld disc but after i changed my system all i get is nothing. When i ran windvd system resources were at an all time low, the ouse stutters and the buttons dont work? What gives??? and i will not use powerdvd or windvd. my dvd is a samsung brand |

If WinDVD or PowerDVD aren't running, then I'm guessing that your computer may not be powerful enough for DVD without a decoder card. There just aren't free DVD players out there that are any good. There are a number of reasons for this, but the main one is that they have to pay these fees to be able to get the copyright system license for their software that they need to charge for it. If you do find a free one, post it in here, cause I'd sure like to have a look at it :) |
