| 24107 | 2001-11-10 04:52:00 | Is there a way to get back more space in a PC aprt from upgrading it and deleting things. Cause when i did this scan disc i lost 800MB. I was on 13.5GB then after scandisc went back to 12.7GB |

| 24108 | 2001-11-10 07:35:00 | It is unlikely but maybe scandisk found a heap of lost fragments and has saved them to a backup file but 800mb?? Get yourself a cleaning utility from the net such as window washer on a 30 day free trial and it will find all temp files, cookies ms office backup files etc. Als run disk cleanup. Window washer can be found at www.webroot.com |

| 24109 | 2001-11-10 23:44:00 | The other thing Scandisk does, is marks Bad Sectors so that they arent used for file storage, you may find that you now have a lot of bad sectors if you run scan disk again, there is nothing you can do about this except get a new hard drive. | Guest (0) | ||
