| 24089 | 2001-11-10 04:39:00 | I have windows me. when I rename a file, a confirmation window pops up and asks if I'm sure that I want to continue. Is there any wat to bypass this step. Thanks |

All files have attributes attached to them i.e Read only, Archive & hidden. The files you are trying to rename are probably saved as read only. Right click on the file and select properties (at the bottom) Put a tick in the archive box and problem solved. You can remove the tick in read only if you want to alter the file in any way.I don't know any way of batch processing files (renaming the attributes of a whole lot of files at once )except through using DOS. I am assuming you will not be familiar with DOS. If you have a lot of files you want the attributes changed on, get a friend who is competent in DOS to do it for you. |
