| 24188 | 2001-11-11 08:12:00 | Okay, I want to get a new 56k external serial modem for my PC (W2K). Dynalink has been a disaster and it is dubious whether Swann will support theirs. So what options are left? If you wanted a good hardware modem, what one would *you* buy? |

Went through a similar exercise after lightning blew up my system and after trying various internal and external modems on sale or return basis, went back to a US Robotics external fax/modem. | Guest (0) | ||
| 24192 | 2001-11-11 10:15:00 | it may very well end up being a US Robotics then since I *know* that the one I borrowed was excellent. One thing I can't seem to determine is the difference between the different US Robotics ones. The sites I find my way to just don't list dial-up modems at all. Apart from cost, does anyone know the difference between these: US Robotics Ext Courier 56K Fax Modem US Robotics Ext V90 56K Fax Modem Is Courier like a primo version? |
