| 24278 | 2001-11-12 10:57:00 | gidday, my 56k internal modem, that i have had ever since purchasing my PC, makes that dail up sound everytime i connect to the internet....is there any way to put it on silent or something?? cheers |

| 24279 | 2001-11-12 11:36:00 | Will probably depend on the brand of modem you have. Mine is an external Dynalink and I just typed in M0 (0 is zero not oh) and now dial up in peace and quiet. Go to control panel>modems>click on your modem to highlight it>select properties>click the advanced tab and in the box type M0 and click ok. If this doesn't work go to your modems website and you should find some help there. |
