i have just done a rebuild of my win95 machine with active desktop and ie5 all is ok but when installing a program that worked the week before i now get a runtime error 3633 when i start the program ,it gets as far as the opening screen then stops and thats it.it is a file veiwer that my wife uses for geneology so this is serious stuff!i seem to have the runtime files from vb3 up to vb7,could this be a corrupt installer? or am i missing something simple?help. |

Hi Dave, have a look at Q174488 and Q280513 on the MS knowledge base. Regards PC |

thanks peter,i checked out the questions you mentioned,i seem to have the msjet files etc and have installed vbrun6 sp1 which was on my install cd then re-installed the viewer but no good, the knowledge base talks of re-creating the application and referencing it to dao 3.5 object library but is this really needed? as i said it ran ok before my win95 reinstall,so am i still being thick?i dont think i am up to creating my own applications like this.thanks dave |
