| 24454 | 2001-11-14 03:32:00 | our school has pentium 450s running Windows 98 on a novell network. Two of the pcs have developed the alility to suddenly go crazy with windows popping up and shooting all over the screen. the mouse is uncontrollable and the only solution is to reset. But it reoccurs.. any ideas and solutions thanks paul |

| 24456 | 2001-11-14 05:51:00 | I had a similar problem, basically while surfing a ton of windows would suddenly popup (no not popups), im talking like hundreds and I would have no control over the mouse. Thing is I had updated virus scan and no virus was detected. But I ran scandisk and defrag then deleted all temp files and problem hasnt occured since so try those. |

| 24457 | 2001-11-14 06:28:00 | Sounds like someone has accessed a web site that has loaded java or someother code. Happened to me once, only way out of it was pull the plug on the phone line and then clean out all the rubbish in the temp/temp internet/cookies etc and reboot and all was well again. That is a option, if it is what you are suffering from.....worth a try |

Mice can develop 2 seperate types of faults: They stick (as when their balls are wrapped up in potato chips) and they go crazy and start opening things (when a switch starts to wear out) |
