24575 2001-11-15 11:24:00 Hi, sounds like there are a couple of things wrong. Firstly you may need to put an audio cable between the cdrom and the sound card, check the readme as to whether the cable needs to be analog or digital. If you used to be able to play sound then this is not the problem. The other possible problem is that the driver has died. Windows is famous for that (are you running ME? it's a disease) to resolve that re-install the hardware by removing the sound card via the Device manager tab in system properties which can be access by right-clicking the my computer icon. then use add new hardware under control panel to re-install it. If you don't have the driver cd and windows doesn't have it, you can download just about anything from www.driverguide.com. Head for the members area, the username is drivers, and the password is all.... or perhaps vice versa, I don't remember. Hope that helps. Guest (0)
