| 24557 | 2001-11-15 03:41:00 | I have a sound card that worked before wheb i got this computer but i dont remember what type of sound card it is and windows doest recognise that there is a sound card. So can you please tell me how to install the software for this sound card when i dont know which sound card it is? I know i might be asking the impossible but i really need the sound to be working. I run windows 95 on my computer. |

| 24558 | 2001-11-15 06:59:00 | You should open the box, and pull the card, and you might find an obvious name printed on it. (The card will have three or four 3.5mm phone jacks, and a 15 pin D connector). Then you can download drivers for it. If there is no obvious name and model info, look for an 'FCC ID: .......'. You can enter the letters and numbers of that in the Search area of www.fcc.gov/. If you are frightened to open the box, you could try installing the SoundBlaster drivers which come with W95. One might work. |
