| 24673 | 2001-11-16 11:15:00 | Just had Jetstart connected - and expected that there would be only the new diagnostic tool icon showing in the bottom toolbar. When I load a program that connects to the net ie: a browser - email - news - etc - the new icon plus the old dialup connection status are loaded - is this usual? - or do I have the leftovers of the old connection in the sytem that should or can be deleted Thanks for your help , Simon :) |

Some use a variation of the old dialup protocol PPP except it's over ethernet ie PPPoE These will require a fake dialup connection to work. It is likely that this is the icon you are seeing. What model do you have? |
