| 24607 | 2001-11-15 19:27:00 | I have a Gateway 9300 which I brought about 18 months ago. I'm finding that the computer is slowing down a lot recently. If I open a folder, say 'My Computer' it takes a while for the folder to actual open and then still more time to display the icons. I find this with all applications. I keep up with the maintenance of the computer and delete all the unnecessary things. How can I speed up my laptop with out having to buy a new one? | Guest (0) | ||

| 24609 | 2001-11-19 16:05:00 | use ad-aware reduce the size of your IE cache to 100 megs set you pc as a server and set virtual memory to a fixed amount on your hdd mine is at 100 megs but I have 768 megs of ram on my motherboard . Also download and use window washer Reg cleaner and cacheman to optimise your memory also do defrag on a regular basis weekly is fine . |
