24801 2001-11-18 01:45:00 Hi,

I am using a genius netscroll mouse on my athlon system. Whenever I move the mouse it make a click. One click per pixel it moves it seems. The mouse does it on a different system with an independant sound card... So it's probably the mouse right? I thought it was doing it all the time, but it seems to fade in and out, and it is at different volumes. Any ideas??? Thx:)

24802 2001-11-18 02:02:00 Hi Erin, I've got a Microsoft serial mouse and it does the same thing but only when the computer locks. The same thing happens when pushink keys on the keyboard when computers locked up.

24803 2001-11-18 02:54:00 Hi,

yes, I remember having that problem with my old 486, but that sound came from the pc speaker (does yours?) Whereas my clicking is blasted out over the speakers via AC97 sound. the keyboard does not do this. I think in your case the click is emitted because computer is telling you it is busy.
