| 1259699 | 2012-02-18 01:15:00 | I have a Galaxy S2 that I want to take to the US to use on available wifi (also a handy camera), so no roaming incurring data charges. Is is just a case of not turning on Data Roaming, or should I also turn off 'Use packet data'? I also randomly wondered whether the phone would work as a wifi device if I just removed the sim? Any input appreciated especially from experience in this sort of thing. thanks |

Took the Sim out earlier and no problem connecting to home wifi and using the browser but will try gmail and maps as they are the only other 2 I need really |
