no 1080p?

1259951 2012-03-02 21:40:00 Hardly a waste, about the only issue is when using it as a PC monitor it will have huge icons and fonts. For movies and TV you won't see a difference.
To see the difference between 1080P and 720P at an average viewing distance in an average lounge you need a TV in the 50-60" range or bigger.

Another plus for lower res screens (yes plus) is that they don't stress the graphics cards out so much when gaming so you can get better framerates with cheaper hardware.
I'd probably have gone for 1080P if possible myself, but it seems like a good name brand TV and a very good price.

1259953 2012-03-03 19:27:00 Congratulations on getting a window on the world.

The hard bit is trying to get a program with any merit. Catching two in a week might well score you a visit from Norris McWhirter.

It's mostly being used as a monitor, but i have watched a few things on it.
