1282789 2012-06-23 12:11:00 I wouldnt buy any hardware from overseas (ebay) unless it included an international warranty (or I just couldnt buy it in NZ and really needed it) - then I may take the risk if it was cheap enough. Paying more for a local item is worth having the warranty that comes with it.

As for ridiculous shipping costs like that, there are ways around paying that much. I reckon I could land that here for around $40 USD.

Had a parcel from the US recently, they wanted $108 USD to send it FedEx to NZ, I got it shipped locally to ShipItTo for $8 USD and they charged $13 USD to ship it to my door.

1282790 2012-06-23 12:54:00 Not neccesarily because of that specific card but because it is dual gpu and to make it worse it is on a single card meaning your best bet for keeping it cool is to scrambel eggs on it constantly so they absorb the heat. Slankydudl (16687)
1282791 2012-06-23 13:39:00 Lolwut? If there was a massive problem with anything it probably wouldn't be for sale. icow (15313)
1282792 2012-06-23 13:53:00 Not that massave but probably quite annoying. I cant see that stock cooling keeping it at a good temp. Slankydudl (16687)

What!

Could it be.. a parcel forwarding service that isn't a complete ripoff???

"Lolwhut" yourself. It's called consumer-grade. Many things have been or are sold that have big issues.

I wouldnt go quite that far, they still charge their warehouse fees etc, just have surface mail rate (still airmail) options and is not limited to FedEx/DHL which I do consider a ripoff. :)

Well, compared to some others I have seen, they appear cheaper.

1282796 2012-06-24 01:49:00 You gotta be very careful when buying off ebay.

Slankydudl doesn't like the 6990 because he doesn't want anyone to have a better card than him. Lol...
