1282778 2012-06-22 21:00:00 The buy the top card you can. 4 years is a hell of a time for gaming. 2 years more likely.

MSFSX is very CPU hungry, really needs an i7.
I can't. The Card is my birthday present from my parents and the max price they are willing to pay is the GTX 560 Ti

1282779 2012-06-22 21:02:00 Something worth noting on the tests Sol linked is the 7850 used a lot less power on the load tests, what PSU are you using?

Psu is power supply? I am geating it upgraded anyway so it dosn't matter

It matters because if your pc is underpowered it could have stability and heating issues. You need a psu which can run at about 20% extra power than you acctually need just to be safe.

Also important, the PSU should be something of decent design and quality, so no cheap Hyena junk!

PSU is indeed power supply. My advice is don't get a cheapo, get a good brand name with more power than you need. As stratex5 said, 20% more is good.

1282783 2012-06-23 08:20:00 Definetly. 20% more is the way to go. You never know you may just upgrade something else......
And if your parents are willing to buy of ebay they may find that graphics cards are slightly cheaper. Not all are but there is the odd one.
Just watch out for shipping costs.
