1282821 2012-06-20 06:47:00 Ok, here's the best info I can give.
SD cards have a limit of 4gb
SDHC cards have a limit of 64gb
SDXC cards have a limit of 2tb
The canon sx 150 is supports SD, SDHC, and SDXC memory cards. So, any of these cards will work in your camera. Just make sure you're given an 8gb card, and they don't try to sneak you a smaller one.

1282822 2012-06-20 06:51:00 The camera uses SDXC cards.

HI PPp

According to this (www.dicksmith.co.nz 85247&FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=282574488364473&ASSORTMENT%3C%3East_id=1408474395182617&ASSORTMENT%3C%3East_id=1408474395182617) it'll use SD, SDHC and SDXC.

It'll be interesting to see what they actually end up sending

Well, id it is 8gb it will have to be a SDHC card. Can't be a SD or SDXC card.

EDIT: SDHC cards only go up to 32gb, not 64gb. Sorry for the dud info

1282826 2012-06-20 07:11:00 From what I can tell, SDHC and SDXC are identical, except that the latter comes formatted as exFAT. pcuser42 (130)

Sorry site I looked up did not mention the other two cards under specs. You're not likely to get SD cards, as they are not commonly stocked anymore.

SD Range 128MB-2GB Format FAT16
SDHC 4GB-32GB FAT32 Hope that helps.(Courtesy SanDisk and Google)
SDXC 64GB-2TB exFAT

(Edit)Sorry formatting not to good

1282829 2012-06-23 03:03:00 Well, B&B finally admitted that they were in error, and a Kingston Technology 8GB SDHC card turned up yesterday. Th interesting thing was that it had two price labels on it. A label for $29.99 had been stuck over a label for $24.99. Maybe they were just trying to make me feel that I was getting a better deal.

According to them there was some "confusion" about whether it was a B&B on line purchase or a Noel Leaming one. In any event it was probably worth hanging on for although, in the final analysis, they should have got it right in the first place.

Thanks
