1260614 2012-02-23 09:15:00 An excellent replacement for a Telecom phone is a couple of semaphore flags.
Great battery life, reliable, and weight-watchers approved. Has a few stability problems in Wellington's draftier spots.

This ensures full harmonisation with their service standards.
I will keep this in mind but I do see a few problems;

Does anybody else know semaphore? (ex boy scouts maybe).

Range and reception would be line of sight only.

People would be wondering who that silly bugger is on top of the hill waving a flag. :banana

A: Telecom only rarely know what they are doing, saying or listening to - it's never bothered them.

B: Not much change here.

C: To match Telecom's performance, the flager and flagee should stand in (different) valleys - at night. Waving bananas would of course be impractical.
