1260623 2012-02-22 00:27:00 Just want to say that its a pretty emotional day here in Chch. When driving around the city a large majority of road cones have been decorated with flowers and you cant help being moved when driving along. 3 weeks ago there was a funeral for an elderly gentleman who committed suicide (hung himself) because he just couldn't take it anymore - this is the second suicide I have personally known of. Thousands have visited hospitals and doctors with emotional issues, depression, anxiety problems etc. It is still a tough time and today seeing all the flowers not only makes you remember the quake of Feb 22 last year, but all the ongoing problems of Chch peoples health, their homes and their lives.

My thoughts also go out to those who lost family and/or loved ones this time last year, they will never be forgotten and today we remember and honor them.

Its a hard day here for us.

I went throught the big one in LA, so I know a little bit what you are going through.
It's very easy to say 'stay strong', but much harder to achieve.
Take care Christchurch.

1260626 2012-02-22 01:05:00 I am sure we all share your emotions on this occasion. I grew up in Christchurch and although I have been away from the City for
many years, I still have a feeling of sadness at the thought of what has happened. Cheers.

My thoughts are with them too, Iantech. I know exactly how you feel about it!
