| 25033 | 2001-11-20 21:50:00 | I think my computer is in trouble, but does anyone have any ideas why, and how I can fix it up? Outlook wont load as its telling me I dont have outlook express loaded. Outlook express WILL load with no errors. Add/remove programs list is EMPTY. (made me *gasp*) Internet Explorer throws me errors here n there, some about needed to download something to be able to view a page (when I cancel I can view the page anyway) and some about it causing an illegal error and needing to close down - but then it doesn't close down. Any ideas? I realise it all seems to be related to IE but does anyone recognise the problem here? |

It's usually either a language support (ie other than english) or some display support. And, yes, I found that clicking cancel usually displays the page correctly. Makes you wonder......? | Guest (0) | ||
| 25035 | 2001-11-20 23:04:00 | Thanks Ian, it is normal in small amounts, but not on almost every 3rd page I've loaded since yesterday. They all seem to be display related - one I remember was asking for BASIC. It appears IE is dying, but other things are crashing around the edges too. I tried repairing office and it 'ended prematurely because of an error' I have Windows ME on a duron 800 with office 2000 if that helps anyone. it was last reformatted and refreshed less than a month ago so really I shouldn't be having silly problems like this just yet! |
