24940 2001-11-19 10:54:00 Would like to be able to protect inportant data I backup to cd daily
Remember seeing a PC Guardian product that does just that - but is too expensive converted to NZ Dollars
Does anyone know of alternatives that will do a similar job for me?
Thanks, Simon

24941 2001-11-19 12:49:00 PGP (www.pgpi.com) is the standard for strong encryption.

You could try just PGP, or you may be able to use PGPdisk.

24942 2001-11-19 17:30:00 Try PGP, it is free with a number of options. Another free one is Scramdisk which creates a virtual drive on your HD and also has upto 128 blowfish and others for encrytion. Scramdisk is supposed to be able to be transferred to a CD as well. Guest (0)
