24898 2001-11-19 01:33:00 I have just installed Win95 on an IBM PII 300 PC with a IBM G74 17' monitor. I cannot get the display options to provide anything other than 16 colors. I have obtained and loaded the drivers for the G74 monitor but this has made no difference. The display adapter I have used is the generic 'Super VGA' one but it also made no difference. I have found some info regarding the G74 monitor and it refers to an installation disk, which I do not have. Help! Guest (0)
24899 2001-11-19 01:52:00 You will need to obtain & install the correct video card drivers,If you are not sure what video card is installed you may have to open the case & take a look.

cheers steve

PS: beware of static electricity.

24900 2001-11-20 04:39:00 You should be able to doewnload the installation disk from the www.ibm.com site. That will probably give you a driver to suit the onboard video 'card'. Check that site for any information about your box, too. It's old enough for them to have fixed a few things. Guest (0)
