| 25024 | 2001-11-20 10:44:00 | Hi, Another tricky linux problem, my genius netscroll mouse only works properly when installed as a standard PS-2 mouse. By 'properly' I mean it moves around the screen ok, but the wheel button doesn't work. If I install is as a genius netscroll mouse it goes all spass, and ends up stuck in the top right hand corner of the screen...hmmm not good. How do I fix this? Thx:) |

| 25025 | 2001-11-20 11:36:00 | As you have found out the netscroll drivers don't work too well under Mandrake. Follow the instructions below and change the mouse to a generic 3 wheel mouse and it will work just fine. Log in as root and at the shell command type 'xf86config' (without the quotation marks) and you will be presented with options for changing mouse type. Read the instructions carefully. Cheers Billy |

| 25026 | 2001-11-20 23:55:00 | Hi, I tried using the program you suggested, but when it gave me the complete list of mice, generic 3 wheel mouse wasn't there... there was a 3 button mouse which I used instead, but to no avail. Now what? |
