24995 2001-11-20 02:39:00 I have deleted all the Templates supplied by Microsoft, but I find that when I select 'New' in the Files menu all of the Microsoft tabs are displayed as well as some of my own templates. How can I get rid of the Microsoft Templates and the 'tabs' for them permanently? Guest (0)
24996 2001-11-20 05:16:00 To remove Word templates and their tabs, open explorer, browse to \program files\ microsoft office\ templates\, and delete the desired folder containing the templates. Guest (0)
24997 2001-11-22 04:08:00 Thanks for the suggestion. I had already followed the procedure you suggest, but I re-installed Word 2000 and tried again. The relevant template files were removed as were the folders, but the tabs and icons remain. On clicking the icons there is an atampt to re-load the file from the installlation disk. I have tried everything i can think of to get rid of the tabs - any other thoughts would be welcome Thanks David Guest (0)
